SOC AT GUSHER DAY 2010

The SOC CLUB participated in the Oil City GUSHER DAY parade again this year, and took SECOND PLACE in the float competition. MANY MANY thanks to Christina Allen and her daughter for making this event possible for our seniors.

SOC HOP PHOTOS

The Seniors of Oil City Club (SOC CLUB) had its first "SOC" HOP on Friday evening, September 25th. About 60 area residents took part in an evening of 40's, 50's and 60's music played "juke box" style. The dancing began promptly at 7:00 PM. A surprise visit by ELVIS at 8:00 really rocked the SOC Community Center on Savage Street in Oil City. A "pot luck" supper accompanied the evening's festivities, and there were many "fuzzy dice" door prizes given away. Several donated raffle prizes were also awarded. MS Margaret Weaver was the lucky recipient of the "GRAND PRIZE"of a $25.00 gift card donated by WalMart in Vivian La. Many guests "dressed the part" for the evening including "poodle" skirts, "pedal pushers" and pony tails. The pictures that follow are a random sampling recording this fun filled evening.
